State law RSMo. 320.271 became effective August 28, 2007, changing the date annual fire
department registrations are to be filed with the State Fire Marshal's Office. All
fire protection districts, fire departments and all volunteer fire protection associations
shall file such registration within sixty days after January 1, 2008, and ANNUALLY
THEREAFTER, on a form provided by the state fire marshal.
